Gender-, Age- and Educational Attainment Level-Specific Output–Employment Relationship and Its Dependence on Foreign Direct Investment

This paper analyses the gender-, age- and educational attainment level-specific output–employment relationship its dependence on foreign direct investment (FDI). The unbalanced panel covers 25 European Union countries’ data from 2000 to 2020. Empirical estimations are made using pooled OLS estimator. impact of FDI elasticities is estimated by including multiplicative terms between gross domestic product (GDP) in regression models. main results indicate positive economic growth employment, with highest for males youth regardless gender. estimation also limited abilities increase employment highly educated people females older than years their level. Our suggest that higher level host countries mostly associated decreasing reaction growth. Although an important factor affecting relationship, it does not help solve problem unemployment EU, especially youth.
